Hervé Sabardeil is the mastermind behind many of our bestselling southern French wines. Le Malbec d’Hervé is his latest gem – a gloriously juicy, supple Malbec.
In the Languedoc’s Vallée de l’Orb, Hervé discovered a plot of 30-year-old vines growing on soils strewn with large, boulder-like stones. These force the vines to produce tiny yields of grapes with impressive intensity and ripeness. The grapes were hand-harvested to ensure only the best parcels made it into the final wine.
The result? A silky, ripe red wine with black fruit flavours, herbs and liquorice. Delicious on its own, it shines alongside pork chops, roast chicken or veggie kebabs.
