The Wine
Champagne Gobillard is situated in the heart of Champagne, just 5km from Epernay. Its vineyard is dominated by Hautvilliers. Now the most renowned village in the region, its reputation dates back to 1681, when Dom Perignon, cellar-master at the Benedictine Abbey of Hautvillers, transformed Champagne as we now know it. Gobillard’s vineyard itself dates back to 1933, a time when only the big houses of the region enjoyed success. But thanks to the family’s passion, conviction and experience, Champagne Gobillard is now a fourth-generation house providing its fine fizz worldwide. Their Grande Réserve is an authentic blend of Chardonnay, Pinot Noir and Pinot Meunier. A delicious aperitif with fresh fruit aromas and toasty brioche notes.
