As Decanter aptly put it, the Maule Valley is “a breath of bracing Andean and Pacific air”. Paired with high altitude, this makes for ripe, crisp, vibrant fruit flavours. A Reserva white brimful with zesty citrus, fleshy peach and pear character.

The Wine
In the foothills of Chile’s Andean mountains, the Maule Valley enjoys hot, sunny days and crisp, cool nights – a winemaker’s dream setting. This unique microclimate nurtures Sauvignon grapes to perfection, creating wines with zesty citrus, luscious peach and captivating floral aromas. Fray Léon winery began producing their breezy-fresh Sauvignon for local enjoyment. But it became hugely popular and when our buyer, Leo, caught wind of this sensation, he ventured to Chile to explore. He discovered a brilliantly bright, citrus-infused white wine, aged for a few months on its lees to impart a creaminess. A true showstopper and one that’s sure to impress your friends. Serve it chilled, as an aperitif, with seafood or spicy noodles.

Excellent. Lots of fruity flavour. Full and citrusy at the same time
