Burgundy fans have long known that the best-value white wines come from the Mâconnais, in the south of the region, and Fleur Blanches is a real standout.
As the Independent says, the Mâconnais is “home to some fantastic, high-quality white wines – which are much cheaper and can be much better value than the Grand and Premier Crus in the northern parts of the region”.
Les Fleur Blanches is named after its delicate white flower blossom aromas that combine with hints of lemon and grapefruit. Made from fruit from low-yielding old vines grown on the region’s famous limestone soils, it has gorgeous intensity and purity of fruit. Creamy textured with a bright, lively finish, it’s a superb match for lemon chicken or grilled fish dishes.
