Dönnhoff Riesling QbA 2024

A superb dry Riesling from Dönnhoff, one of the finest and most exciting family estates in Germany’s Nahe region. Founded in 1750 by Helmut Dönnhoff, the estate boasts some of the best vineyards in the area.
Today, the Dönhoff Estate is run by Helmut’s great-grandson, Cornelius, who has “bottled probably the best wine series in the history of the domaine” (Wine Advocate).
The grapes are grown organically on south-southeast-facing volcanic slopes, giving the wine its hallmark mineral edge. Expect vibrant citrus and crisp green apple, layered with delicate floral notes and a stony, saline finish.
Critic James Suckling awarded the 2024 vintage 92 points, writing: “I love the interplay of citrusy freshness and apples on the light-bodied palate.”
Refreshing yet complex, Dönnhoff Riesling is brilliant solo and a dream with seafood – think grilled trout, sushi or a classic sole meunière.
