The Wine
At the foot of the Roche de Vergisson, estate owners Christine and Roger have managed the 10 hectare domaine since 1978. They craft this stunning Saint-Véran from best parcels of old-vine Chardonnay rooted in chalk and clay soils, all organically grown. The wine is barrel-fermented then aged for 12 months in French oak. It's a classic Saint-Véran, marrying ripe apricot, crisp apple and citrus zest with a subtle touch of oak. The palate is concentrated yet lively, with a flinty minerality with a long, elegant finsh. Rich and textured but always fresh, it’s a Burgundy that delights now with poultry, seafood or goat’s cheese, yet has the poise to develop beautifully in the cellar for years to come.
