Domaine La Lirande Syrah 2025

A rich, silky red wine with heaps of black fruit and spice, Domaine La Lirande Syrah embraces the richness and depth that the estate is known for.
Our scout and buyer for the Languedoc-Roussillon region, Mark Hoddy, is always searching the region’s vineyards to find the best wines around. He first discovered this great red wine in 2019 via an old friend in Corbières who told him about a nearby estate that was making exceptional Syrah with luscious richness and depth.
This led Mark to Domaine La Lirande a small estate founded in the tiny village of Coulobres in 1912 by winemaker Francis Laugé’s grandfather, François. Every year the Syrah from the domaine’s eight hectares of 40-year-old vines stands out for its quality and flavour.
Filled with ripe blackberry, smoky liquorice and wile herb notes, it’s still young so open early and decant. It’s an ideal wine for grilled meats, moussaka, cheeses or a rich casserole.
