Chateau Noaillac Médoc 2015
Médoc AOC Cru Bourgeois
Loading...
Cru Bourgeois clarets often offer superb quality at modest prices. Enjoy this lovely, fruit-rich, barrel aged Médoc, from "a fantastic year" (Suckling). Silky smooth, elegant and wonderfully complex, it makes delicious drinking now, yet will age.

The Wine
Château Noaillac is a Cru Bourgeois property located on the Left Bank of the Garonne river in the heart of Bordeaux’s prestigious Médoc region. Marc Pagès and his son, Xavier, acquired the property in 1983 and restored it to its original splendour – much as they had done previously with another top Médoc estate, Château Tour de By. Damien – son of Xavier – joined the team in 2004. 2015 was a superb vintage in Bordeaux – possibly matching the fine 2005. Critic James Suckling wrote, "2015 is indeed a fantastic year, producing rich and opulent reds with ripe and velvety tannins. The wines have a lot of "wow" factor." Matured for a year in fine oak, this rich fruit claret is drinking well now, or keep. Enjoy with roast red meats or game.

Sweet and fragrant on the nose, ripe and almost silky on the palate. Very easy to enjoy right now
