Château La Tour du Pin Figeac 2011
It's rare to find a parcel of Saint-Emilion Grand Cru Classé with 11 years age. 2011 was a tricky vintage, that has matured slowly, but this superb Right Bank claret shows it was worth the wait. Silky mellow red fruits, with dusty spice complexity.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
As its name would suggest, this fine Saint-Emilion property was once part of the great Château Figeac. It was separated off in 1925 and snapped up by the Giraud family in 1972. Yields from their prized 35-year-old vines are kept low for concentration, all picked by hand at harvest time. Ageing in barrel, a third of those new, has helped to give the wine structure to mature gracefully all these years. Stand upright a few hours to allow any sediment to settle at the bottom of the bottle, then carefully decant.
