Château Canon lies atop the famous Saint-Émilion limestone plateau and since 1996 has been owned by the Wertheimer family of Chanel, who also own Margaux’s Château Rauzan-Ségla.
No expense is spared in the winemaking – pumping over is done by hand, the soils are tilled by horse-drawn plough – everything connected to nature. It shows in the glass – this is a Saint-Émilion estate right at the top of its game.
Yet despite the huge investment, perfect scores and 1er Grand Cru Classé status, Canon remains good value compared to other top-tier Bordeaux. That’s especially true with this special deal. Available to buy individually or in wooden cases of six. Only 33 cases available.
