The Wine
At Louis Roederer, winemaking falls under the watchful eye and talented hand of Champagne legend Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon. Boasting 240 hectares of Premium and Grand Cru vineyards, Lécaillon has a wealth of high-quality grapes to work with. Collection 243 is the new release from Roederer’s Collection range, which has a noble message at its core. Pioneer of sustainable and biodynamic practices, Lécaillon wanted to highlight the impact of global warming with this range. It’s a fizz that ensures there is ample freshness from the Perpetual Réserve to balance the ripe flavours. He started this special reserve back in 2012 and has been building on it since. It makes up a third of the blend in this exceptionally fine, creamy, toasty fruit fizz.
"Dried-lemon, apricot, green-apple, salted-almond, walnut and light caramel notes. Excellent focus"
