The Wine

Normally winemakers have to stick to strict laws (some for good reason). But there can be too much red tape. Enter Luis and Oliver. These talented winemakers wanted the chance to worry more about what was in your glass than what was on the label. Luis Ramacha is based in Spain, where he has access to juicy, ripe Tempranillo from quality vineyards. Oliver Cabirol is in southern France. He specialises in Bordeaux grapes – Malbec that he used last vintage, and the stars in the 2020, dense, dark Cabernet and sprightly plum Merlot. They joined forces and the result was a truly opulent, smooth, dark red. Now in its 4th vintage, Bullfrog is a wine that is born to please! Glides down easily on its own; great with sausage and mash or spicy pasta.
