Bleasdale The Wild Fig Langhorne Creek Shiraz Grenache Mourvedre 2022
Langhorne Creek
Loading...
From the second oldest family winery in Oz, this is a rich, silky Shiraz, Grenache, Mourvèdre red. It’s from Langhorne Creek, a premium, cooler-climate region, so its wines have freshness to balance the ripe fruit, herbal hints and exotic spice.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

The Wine
Bleasdale Vineyards have been proudly owned by the Potts family for five generations – that’s 170 years. Founder Frank Potts was born in Hounslow, and joined the Royal Navy at just 9! He started his career as a powder monkey and travelled the world several times, before settling in South Australia in 1836. Originally a carpenter, in 1850, on seeing a great plot of land near the town of Langhorne Creek, he and his new wife bought it and began farming. Theirs became the first winery in the region. In 2007, Paul Hotker became their winemaker (Winemaker of the Year 2018) and since then they've won 60 Trophies, most recently the Jimmy Watson for the 2022 Wild Fig. Aged six months in large oak casks, this 2-year-old red is rich, ripe and smooth.
