The Story Behind the Bottle
Nicolas Bizzarri is the Trophy-winning winemaker at the family-owned Luis Felipe Edwards estate, in the beautiful Colchagua Valley. His Bendito Reserva is a little project of his own, inspired by his early years in Australia. Bendito means ‘blessed’ and sums up the idyllic conditions of the vineyards that supply this wine’s high-quality grapes. They’re not easy to cultivate – lots of rocky ground and little soil, gorges and ravines – but the vines struggle on and produce fruit of great depth. Offering delicious bold fruit, this Reserva blends Shiraz with Cabernet. Juicy blackberry, mint, cassis and appetising freshness, this is a supple, easy-going red that is delicious as a glass on its own or with all sorts of tasty supper or at a bbq.
