The Story Behind the Bottle
Malbec is king of red grapes in Argentina, but originated from southwest France, most notably Cahors and Bordeaux. It arrived in South America in the mid 19th century, but only gained its adoring following in the 1980s and 1990s, when winemakers, often from abroad, discovered the heirloom treasures of old vines. Now Argentine Malbec is adored the world over, including by the locals who love it alongside their food staple of choice – a plate-filling steak. Beefsteak Club Malbec is a silky, midweight red.
