These days, they own several wineries – including Conde de los Andes, where Hemingway used to enjoy a glass or two.
But the Murúas remain modest, charming and loyal to their friends. Javier rings us after each vintage so we can get first pick of their finest vats for this silky, oak-aged Rioja.
