For a Kiwi Sauvignon with a luscious helping of tropical fruit, try our 2.4K, made by a winery that’s won 26 Trophies and 150 Golds since it was founded in 1993. From New Zealand’s sunshine capital, this wine charms with ripe apricot and peach notes.
"Lots of jubilant ripe peach and apricot fruit – a tasty Sauvignon to have on stand-by in the fridge"
Dan Parrott Buyer for New Zealand
Nelson lies on the very northern tip of the South Island, just around the coast from the more famous Marlborough region. Sauvignon Blanc from this sunny region is renowned for its appealing ripe peach fruit, while cooling sea breezes ensure there’s plenty of freshness too. Think fruity more than grassy. 2.4K is from Waimea Estates, founded in 1993 by two generations of the Bolitho family. They planted extensive vineyards and worked hard to produce wines – Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris – that have, over the last 25 years, charmed the world. And impressed at competition too, judging by the winery’s track record for top awards. Chill down a bottle – it’s a cracker with spicy seafood stir-fry or chicken and mango salad.
