If you like brisk, bright, berry fresh rosés, get to grips with Portugal’s new wave rosados. This country cultivates a myriad of exciting red varieties which, when picked still young and with good acidity, make perfect, fresh, berry filled pinks. Amoras is from a single estate 40 kilometres north of Lisbon. Owned by Casa Santos Lima, it has been in the da Silva family for several generations. Winemaker is the world renowned José Neiva, who, for this wine, made a rigorous selection of indigenous grapes, then added a large portion of deep, blackcurrant Cabernet from the estate’s well-tended vineyards. Rich, mouthwatering Amoras is an irresistible glass on its own and an ideal drop with all sorts of seafood and salads, and chicken dishes.

"Very refreshing, without the usual sweetness and on the drier side for a rosé. Very palatable" Online Review
