Los Hermanos Manzanos Blanco Barrica 2018
Rioja DOCa

Crisp, ripe and fragrant, Los Hermanos is a class act. It’s from a 200 year old family estate with a very modern approach to winemaking. This accounts for its brilliant fresh pear and apple fruit balanced by a gentle toastiness from oak fermentation.

The Story Behind the Bottle
A must try for serious fans of Rioja’s whites, this is a truly modern style of wine. It comes from a small family estate founded 200 years ago, its first winery built in 1890. Los Hermanos is crafted entirely from racy fresh Viura and creamy peach Chardonnay from a hilltop vineyard. Brothers Victor and David Manzanos are great-grandsons of founder Lorenzo Fernández de Manzanos Medrano. Their winemaker Borja Ripa has extensive experience throughout Spain and as far afield as Australia. Enjoy here ripe stone and citrus fruit with subtle creamy toast flavours thanks to barrel fermentation in new oak, plus six months’ ageing in cask. Victor and David suggest you partner it with chicken casserole, grilled salmon, spicy seafood or summer salads.
