Inspired by Bavaria’s traditional Eisbock style, this powerful beer is made by partially freezing a strong lager to concentrate its flavours. The result is a dark amber brew with aromas of caramel, dried fruit and roasted nuts. The palate is full-bodied and warming, with layers of malt sweetness, fig, raisin and toffee, balanced by a smooth, lingering finish. Brewed in small batches and released only occasionally, Icebock showcases Pillars’ flair for extraordinary lager.
