The Story Behind the Bottle
Domaine Hudelot Baillet produces a wide range of beautifully made Burgundies – from Village level through to Grands Cru. The estate was founded in the 1970s by Paul Hudelot Baillet, and was passed to his son Joël in 1981. Today, it’s run by Joël’s son-in-law, Dominique Leguen, who worked alongside Joël for six years before taking the reins. Under Dominique’s guidance, the domaine has grown hugely in reputation. Fine wine critic Neal Martin wrote of the estate, "it's just got everything that I like about Burgundy: delicious, nuanced wines." Here you have an impressive magnum of their Hautes-Côtes de Nuits – a delightful fruit-forward red Burgundy from an excellent vintage.
