Flavour Profile
Bachelet brothers Marc and Alexandre set up a 10-hectare organic estate in Burgundy in 2005 and from their first vintage, they've attracted enormous praise. Critic Neal Martin says: “If you have not discovered the Bachelet brothers yet, it’s time to do so.”
Their estate includes superb vineyards in Maranges, Santenay and Puligny, plus a handful more they have enfermage (under their management), all worked organically.
Using three parcels of grapes from their Maranges vineyards, on prized limestone soils, the 2024 Domaine Bachelet-Monnot Maranges 1er Cru La Fussière Blanc still needs time in the cellar or opening early. Intense, citrusy, focused, with subtle oak.
