Antigua Bodega Malbec 2025

Argentina’s Malbec has taken the world by storm. While most of it comes from Mendoza, Antigua Bodega Malbec hails from the San Juan region in the northwest.
Known for its awe-inspiring grand canyons and dramatic views of the Andes, San Juan has the ideal conditions for growing vines – with high altitude vineyards, clear skies and plenty of sunshine allowing the grapes to ripen slowly to perfection.
To wine enthusiast Don Luis Victor Chirino, it looked like the perfect place to fulfil his dream of making wine. In 1990 he bought Bodegas Antigua – a local landmark and one of San Juan’s first earthquake-proof structures – and added a winery and vineyards to create a stunning wine estate.
A classic Argentinian red wine with intense red and black fruit flavours and spicy, floral hints, Antigua Bodega Malbec is ideal for solo sipping or paired with grilled meats.
