South Africa is currently one of the world's most dynamic wine producers, winning gongs galore at International wine competitions. As Tim Atkin MW wrote in his 2019 report, "the best Cape wines are world class and represent outstanding value for money." This is a fun, fruit filled red from Leon Esterhuizen at Journey's End Winery. He has picked out parcels of grapes from regions across the Western Cape, blending them to get just the right balance of ripe easy fruit and freshness. It's a tasty blend of Shiraz, a variety no longer confined to Australia and full of punchy spice and blackberry flavour, along with Ruby Cabernet with its juicy cherry fruit. This soft red is great on its own or with everyday suppers - from sausages to pasta.

"Lots of juicy cherry and damson fruit. The ultimate in easy drinking pleasure" Kirsten Willis
