New Zealand Sauvignon that every vintage clocks up Golds – three and 93 points in the last two vintages. Since their launch in 1982 Hunter’s have been winning prizes galore, and no wonder with wines like this – so dazzling fresh, citrusy and elegant.
"Exemplary Marlborough Sauvignon, limes and lemons, clean and vibrant, zesty and penetrating"
Huon Hooke, Wine Critic Review for 2017 vintage
Mention Sauvignon Blanc to any wine lover and Marlborough is sure to come up – yet 40 years ago this remote region was known only for barley and sheep. The success story of Marlborough is one of the most remarkable in modern times, and one in which Hunter’s Wines can justly claim to have played a major part. The estate is now run by Jane Hunter. A highly qualified viticulturist, she has a string of accolades for her excellent work, including an OBE and Companion of the New Zealand Order of Merit for services to viticulture. This is a classic Kiwi Sauvignon, made by Jane’s nephew James Macdonald, displaying passion fruit, crisp apple and citrus aromas. Delicious on its own and superb with oysters, grilled white fish or spicy Thai dishes.

Laithwaite's began in 1969, when geography student Tony Laithwaite took a job washing bottles in Bordeaux ...
and fell in love with wine and the people who make it. When he borrowed a van to share their delicious wines with
friends and neighbours at home, things went so well that hundreds of little wineries all around the world were soon
queuing to take part. Today we're the UK's No.1 home-delivery wine merchant, with over 1,500 wines to choose from
including red, white, rosé, Champagne, Prosecco, spirits ... you name it. Tony's still at it - and now really good
at washing bottles. Read more
