The Wine
Based right at the heart of Stellenbosch, Rollo Gabb's Journey’s End has quickly become one of South Africa's top addresses. Ever respectful of the environment and the community, the team use natural treatments to retain the area’s biodiversity. It is also one of the few solar powered wineries in South Africa and has 10ha of land dedicated to indigenous plants and wildlife. Such care extends to the cellars, where winemaker Leon Esterhuizen handles the grapes as little as possible to maximise fruit character. His sensitive use of oak ensures that the fruit always shines in all its glory. This is pure Cabernet Sauvignon, with a lovely cherry and berry ripeness, with an appetising bite freshness. The perfect partner for hearty meat dishes.
"With its sweet black berry fruits and cedar oak spice, this is a fine red from a great name."
