Domaine Gaston et Pierre Ravaut Corton Grand Cru Bressandes 2017
Wine Spectator describes wines from this century old estate as “bursting with ripe fruit, pure, bordering on exotic”. They own amazing vineyards, all centred around Corton. This Grand Cru is fleshy with ripe strawberry, violets and crunchy freshness.
We're sorry, this wine is sold out.

But don't worry, you'll find plenty more handpicked wines here.

The Wine
It was Gaston Ravaut, known as ‘the Uncle’, who started planting vines around the hill of Corton in the 1920s. Next he began making wine for family and locals in the village. By 1936, with a Gold from Paris, the family had gained quite a reputation. Today brothers Vincent and Pierre, the sixth generation, continue the work, with Pierre taking charge in the vineyard and Vincent in the cellar. This magnificent Grand Cru lies in the north of the Côte de Beaune, a small, mid-slope area with clay-limestone soils. Quality in 2017 was very high, as you’ll taste in the pure, poised fruit of this expressive young Burgundy, with gentle spice from a year in barriques and the taut freshness for ageing. Tastes Grand Cru from start to finish. A keeper.
