The Story Behind the Bottle
Domaine Long Depaquit is a historic property. It was family owned from 1791, and then bought in 1967 by one of the most impressive houses in Burgundy, Maison Albert Bichot (although the domaine is still autonomously run). Renowned for outstanding Chablis, it was rated by Wine Advocate as one of the best producers in the appellation. Les Vaillons is from a Premier Cru vineyard on the left bank of the Serein River. It’s from the esteemed 2020 vintage declared by InsideBurgundy.com as “an almost universally successful vintage for the white wines”. This is a fine, classic Chablis with delicate floral notes, subtle oak spice and plenty of pure fruits and fresh minerality. Serve cool, a most elegant white with fish or goat's cheese soufflé.
