Hot Honey Fried Chicken with Lemony Slaw
in Partnership with Channel 4
Ingredients:
- 4 boneless chicken thighs
- 100ml buttermilk or yoghurt
- 100g plain flour
- 1 tsp dried oregano
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and pepper
- Oil for frying
- 2 tbsp honey
- 1 tsp chilli flakes
- 1/4 white cabbage, shredded
- 1 carrot, grated
- 2 tbsp mayo
- Juice of 1 lemon
Method:
- Marinate chicken in buttermilk for at least 30 minutes.
- Mix flour with paprika, salt and pepper. Dredge chicken to coat.
- Fry until golden and cooked through.
- Warm honey and chilli flakes together and drizzle over chicken.
- Mix slaw ingredients and serve on the side.
