The Story Behind the Bottle
This is a double-Trophy-winning pink fizz from Roebuck's well-placed Roman Villa vineyard, in the South Downs, West Sussex. All the grapes are hand picked and whole-bunch pressed to lend an extra edge of freshness. Fermentation takes place in a mix of stainless steel vats and French oak barrels. This accounts for the wonderful layers of flavour in this pink fizz. It's from Roebuck Estates, which was born from a passion to put down roots in the English countryside and to champion home-grown produce. To achieve this, they have built a portfolio of first-class vineyards and have a great team in place to manage them. Aged three years on lees with a tiny addition of Pinot Precocé for colour, this is a rich, toasty style with a floral lift.
