Always the innovator, Hervé Sabardeil has turned his sumptuous, seductive red into a sparkling wine. The style's been a hit in Australia for years but rarely seen in France. Still sinfully delicious, this new release is heightened by the added fizz.

The Wine
King of the Black Reds, Hervé Sabardeil brings you this gorgeous, rich, ripe red, now with a wicked new twist. For years customers have bought cases of Rex Mundi. A devilishly delicious blend of spice-laden Shiraz and plummy Grenache from craggy Roussillon. It’s in this inhospitable landscape where medieval Cathars use to live in awe of the evil god Rex Mundi (‘King of the World’). Now Hervé delivers all that irresistible, ripe plum flavour on a wave of tiny bubbles. Bringing the Australian trend over to Europe, he’s showing just how exciting the Languedoc is with this luscious, red bubbly. Rex Mundi Vivant is fully sparkling, so chill down well and open very slowly with care, to avoid losing any of this seductively dark fizz.
