Eastwood Adelaide Hills Sauvignon Blanc 2017

Adelaide Hills

Ripely tropical and dashingly fresh – an Aussie Sauvignon to dazzle you. It’s from cooler climate Adelaide Hills, a region “stuffed to the gills with winemaking royalty” (Max Allen, Crush). This one is from a sensational 5-Star Halliday rated winery.

A top-notch Aussie Sauvignon from one of the region’s finest producers. It’s all tingling fresh fruit and zip, not always easy in the heat. Winemakers have to search out cooler climate fruit, while Wine Spectator urges readers to “look for bottlings from Adelaide Hills”. The region’s many ridges at around 700 metres altitude provide a mosaic of microclimates and soils, with temperatures only just warm enough to ripen grapes (remarkable for Oz). That’s why it’s ideal for crisp, aromatic whites like this. Eastwood is pure Sauvignon, cool fermented to capture all the ripe lemon and passion fruit and crisp mineral character. Concentrated, ripe and remarkably fresh, this is a wine to serve chilled on its own or with spicy Thai cuisine or fish.

"Exciting to find such a supremely fresh and ripely fruity wine from Oz. Marlborough watch out!" Dan Parrott
