What time should I arrive?
The start time of the event will be shown on your ticket / e-ticket as well as on the online event listing. The doors will not open before this time. You are of course welcome to join us anytime during the tasting once the doors are open.
Do I need to know anything about wine?
Definitely not! All of our staff and wine producers behind the tables know about the wines and will be able to answer any questions you have as well as tell you about the wines at the tasting.
Spit or swallow?
Lots of people worry that they will have to spit the wine out when they come to a wine tasting. This is not the case at all. We do provide spittoons but you are more than welcome to drink the samples – the choice is yours.
Will the wine makers speak English?
The beauty of our events is that we get wine producers attending from all over the world. For some of them English may not be their first language but they will all have a jolly good go at it. Our staff are very good at translating as well as having an understanding of the subject, so please do ask – no one will be offended.
What should I wear?
You can wear what you want to our events from your best bib and tucker to your comfy home tracksuit; however we do suggest comfortable shoes. We do not allow costumes or fancy dress items at any of our events so please leave these at home.
Will there be somewhere to sit?
We always have somewhere to sit at our events. The amount of seating may vary but there will be somewhere to perch and read the wine list and complete an order form should you wish.
When will the event finish?
The finish time of the event will be marked on your e-ticket / ticket, and unfortunately we have to be very strict on this.
Is there disabled access at the event?
We aim to make all of our events accessible to everyone. However if you have specific needs please contact us on 03330 148 200 or firstname.lastname@example.org and we will be able to give you more information on access arrangements at the venue.
Can I order wine on the night?
Of course! If you would like to place an order for wine delivery at the event our staff will be happy to help. Each of our events will have unique offers detailed in the wine list given to you at the event. Orders can be processed on the night by visiting the orders and information desk. After the event please contact 03330 148 200 or email@example.com to place an order. Event offers will expire one week after the event unless otherwise stated in the wine list.
Photographs at the event
We often have a professional photographer present our events. The photographs/videos may be used for marketing and promotion in our publications and on our digital channels. If you do not wish to be photographed, please let the event organisers know.
Can I bring under someone under 18 to the event?
We have a strict no admittance policy to anyone under 18 years old, including babes in arms and pushchairs. We reserve the right to ask for photographic identification with proof of age.
