The Wine
Laurent Perrier is one of the most famous of Grandes Marques Champagnes (for good reason – they make some of the finest fizz) and the region’s largest family-owned house. Founded in 1812 by Alphonse Pierlot, Laurent Perrier was bought in 1939 by Marie-Louise Lanson de Nonancourt (of Champagne Lanson), who did much to raise its profile around the world. James Suckling declared the 2015, " very structured with a density and richness” with “delicious flavors of biscuits and dried apple”. After unusual conditions through most of the year, the season finished well and the grapes ripened perfectly, which is clear from the 2015’s early expressive qualities. Aged for 7 years in the cellar, it has freshness, energy, richness and depth. Glorious.
"Very structured with a density and richness with hints of strawberry to the apple character"
Superb, 95-point, top-vintage Champagne from the illustrious house of Laurent-Perrier
