The Kyrö Distillery Company started as a dream among friends. While drinking whisky in a Finnish sauna, they found themselves wondering why nobody was making rye whisky in Finland. So they decided to give it a go themselves. It all started with rye whisky, and Kyrö Rye Malt is no different. The team uses only 100% Finnish wholegrain rye. It’s double pot-distilled then aged in a combination of new American white oak and ex-bourbon casks. Extremely aromatic, expect intense pepperiness that’s well-balanced by sweet notes of vanilla, caramel and dried fruits. Super smooth, it boasts sweet rye bread and honey flavours, with an oaky spice that lingers on the finish. Awarded Gold by IWSC in 2020. Sip neat, over ice, or get creative in a cocktail.
