The Wine
Our buyer Jean-Marc is Bordeaux, born and bred, so unsurprisingly he has exceptional contacts throughout the region. He's a popular man, so when there's some terrific wine that needs shifting, he gets to hear first. We can't tell you which illustrious château this luscious, ripe 2023 is from, but we can say it’s a leading property within its appellation. Fine Sauvignon Blanc and Sauvignon Gris, picked at the peak of ripeness, oak fermented, barrel aged, with maturation on lees and batonnage … all the credentials for a top wine. Hence this white’s generous, rich citrus and peach fruit, creamy roundness, lush oak spice and tingling freshness. A luxurious dinner party white, ace with white meats or seafood. Open early and only gently chill.
