The Wine
If you’re fond of the delicate, silky red fruit and perfume of Pinot Noir, enjoy this stunner from Domaine Bott-Geyl, an estate featured in every major French wine guide. At the helm is Jean-Christophe Bott, a descendant of Jean-Martin Geyl who established the estate in 1795. Soil and the environment are of utmost importance to Jean-Christophe, and under his watch, the estate became certified organic in 2000 and biodynamic two years later. The family can boast 75 parcels of vines throughout the region, including 6 Grands Crus and 4 lieus dits and it is their individual ‘terroir’ that he wants to express in each wine. ‘Galets Oligocène’ is the special attribute of this great Pinot, lending it elegant fruit and the wherewithal for ageing.
If you’re fond of the delicate, silky red fruit and perfume of Pinot Noir, enjoy
The oak here is so skilfully judged, letting that sumptuous but fresh fruit speak freely. Beautiful
