With six scores well over 90, La Fleur-Pétrus has obviously hit its stride in 2023. Critic Neal Martin wrote, “a level up from the Hosanna, with greater precision and focus — very pure and more terroir-driven”, “sleek and smooth”, “harmonious”.

The Wine
The tiny appellation of Pomerol is home to the world's greatest Merlot, and some of the finest, most sought-after Bordeaux of all. None more so than the wines made by the Moueix family, responsible for legendary Château Pétrus, its impeccable sister property, as well as La Fleur-Pétrus. Antoni Galloni praised it: "The 2023 La Fleur-Pétrus is fabulous. Increasingly, I find it one the most complete Pomerols in the Moueix range. Perhaps, that’s because it comes from numerous parcels throughout the appellation and is therefore a wine that greatly benefits from blending. Bright acids and floral top notes add lift to a core of red-toned fruit. Hints of cedar, sweet pipe tobacco, mint and orange peel linger on the beautifully persistent finish."
