In the words of the great man himself, “I love white Burgundy and I seek the same signature from my Crozes-Hermitage whites”, hence the voluptuous, rounded style of this wine, cut through by its brilliant minerality. Yann Chave is hot property these days. His wines are listed by many top Michelin-starred French chefs, Bocuse, Ducasse and Troisgros among them. The estate was founded in the 1970s by his parents and taken over by Yann in 1996. He converted to organic agriculture in 2000 and extols its virtues. His Crozes white is a beautiful blend of Marsanne (70%) with Roussanne, wild-yeast fermented and aged all in vat, no wood. A delicious masterpiece of exotic ripe fruit, stony, mineral freshness and creamy texture. Serve cellar cool.
