Designated a Crianza, this Rioja has an elegance and grace that is the envy of many a Gran Reserva. But that should come as no surprise when you look at the fourth-generation bodega behind it – their wines are treasured across the globe. Though wedded to tradition López de Heredia is not bound by it – quite the opposite. Eric Asimov writing in The New York Times notes: “It is paradoxically a winery in the vanguard, its viticulture and winemaking a shining, visionary example for young, forward-thinking producers all over the world.” This wine was barrel aged for three years and from a vintage rated ‘Very Good’. Its name Viña Cubillo refers to the single vineyard from which grapes are chosen for this sublime red. Enjoy with tapas or lamb.

"Full-bodied with incredible softness and complexity. Fantastic wine. A joy. Incredible value!" James Suckling
