Talented winemaker and motorcycle enthusiast Alessandro Gallici knows exactly where to find the best grapes of the Veneto in northern Italy. For the latest vintage of this rosato, Alessandro decided to use Bardolino’s classic varieties (the same ones as in Valpolicella) to lend the wine bright cherry fruit and freshness. It’s made from noble Corvina, plus Rondinella and Molinara, with a splash of rare Negrara to lend colour. You can be assured of pure intensity of flavour in the wine, too, thanks to the mountain cool climate of the area, locally referred to as ‘air conditioned’. The result is a sophisticated rosé of the type much loved by Italians. A mouthwatering apéritif, it’s also perfect paired with baked salmon or vegetable risotto.
