More information
This appetising white is from a winery in premium Breedekloof with a 50 year history of winning awards. That includes the General Smuts Trophy in 2012 for best wine of the vintage. Its vineyards lie on the lower slopes of the Sidu mountain range, where Victoria Peak stands proud. So named because its shape was said to resemble Queen Victoria’s profile, this peak boasts a stunning view of the vineyards below. With deep rocky soils covered by sandy loam, the vines enjoy ideal conditions and produce nicely concentrated, well ripened grapes. This is a classic Cape Chardonnay, with bright, lightly tropical fruit and a gentle touch of oak. Chill down and enjoy as a refreshing glass solo. It’s enjoyable with white meats or char-grilled salmon too.
