We’re very excited to bring you this fine German Pilsner, crafted by a 180 year old family brewery in Grevenstein with a reputation for meticulous attention to detail. The brewing method is particularly unusual in that a quarter of the hopped wort is mixed with yeast, then after fermenting for 24 hours is run off into a second tank leaving just 20% behind. This is combined with the second quarter of wort, and so on. Following this process the beer is fermented in conical tanks and ‘lagered’ in storage tanks for four weeks. This method ensures great consistency of flavour – the makers claim 200 brews are present in each bottle! As crisp and refreshing a beer as you’re likely to taste, it’s perfect as a chilled glass on its own. Prost!
