The Barbarian Semillon Chardonnay 2021

South Eastern Australia

Chardonnay is the grape that introduced Aussie wine to a wider audience and Semillons are among the country’s most exciting, longest-lived whites. Add a dash of Chenin Blanc and you have something totally original. Gloriously fresh and fruity.

Old friend Bob Berton has come up trumps (again!) with this fruity three-way blend. He’s taken the ripe citrus of Semillon, the buttered toast of Chardonnay and added the apple freshness of Chenin Blanc. All to fill the mouth with flavour and put a smile on your face. Not bad for a former accountant. Bob used to advise folk on how to run their businesses. But he’d never run one. So he joined a winery to get some experience in the real world and never left! In 2006 he set out on his own. We were delighted to support him on his solo venture and have been buying his great wines ever since. Many are customer favourites, like the All Out range and Willy Willy Shiraz. Serve this glorious fruity white chilled, then sit back and enjoy.
