Stumble Vineyards Cinsault Rosé 2016

Western Cape

Our Buyer Davy said this is his pick of South African pinks. It’s pure Cinsault, one of the two ‘parent’ grapes of the Cape’s most famous variety, Pinotage. Cinsault excels in the climate, as you’ll discover in this vibrant, strawberry fresh rosé.

Winemaker Bruce Jack is something of a legend. He’s a dynamic, innovative producer who was named South African ‘Winemaker of the Year’ in 2009. He started his own multi award winning winery from scratch and was the first South African to graduate from Australia’s famous Roseworthy wine college. He holds a Masters degree in Literature from St Andrews University and he’s even survived being struck by lightning in Bordeaux! Most importantly for us, he makes jolly good wines like this characterful Cinsault rosé. It’s crisp and vibrant, with upfront berry fruit kept fresh with balanced, mouthwatering acidity. It will remind you of summer all year round. Definitely one to enjoy well chilled, either as an apéritif or with light snacks or chicken.

"Exuberant and characterful like the winemaker himself, this is a really tasty rosé" Davy Zyw
