Shimmin Rock hails from Broken Earth Winery, where they focus on sustainability and quality throughout every stage of winemaking. This approach has resulted in numerous medals and 90+ point scores, and the acclaim has only increased since they hired Chris Cameron. A 30-vintage veteran, Chris has made wine on four continents and won 600 medals and 70 major trophies – including the Jimmy Watson Trophy (Australia’s premier prize) and ‘Best Merlot Worldwide’ at the IWSC. In the excellent 2014 vintage Chris had his pick of perfectly ripe Cabernet Sauvignon from Broken Earth’s estate vineyards. This resulting Cabernet bursts with luscious, dark fruit flavour and a smooth yet vibrant finish. It will delight alongside hearty beef or pasta dishes.
