Oz Clarke points out that “Chile is capturing Pinot’s elusive character at remarkably low prices” (Grapes and Wines). Few more skilfully than the great LFE family winery. Founded in 1976 by Luis Felipe Edwards Senior, the estate is one of Chile’s most dynamic and exciting, continually challenging the boundaries of viticulture and winemaking. They recently scooped ‘Chilean Winery of the Year’ awards four times from top competitions. Riversong is their Pinot Noir specially intended for regular enjoyment. It is made from plump Pinot fruit from the warm Central Valley and offers easy going raspberry and blackcurrant notes with a spicy finish. It’s great lightly chilled with seared tuna steaks or with chicken casserole or mushroom risotto.

"Hard to find a better value Pinot Noir. It’s not weighty, but has such pretty, silky, easy fruit" Beth Willard
