Rieslings of the Reichsrat Von Buhl estate consistently receive over 90/100 points from Wine Spectator and Wine Advocate. A leading German wine publication lists a Von Buhl wine amongst the best 100 in the world, and their top releases sell for £150 a half bottle. Since 2013 Matthieu Kauffmann has been winemaker - he was previously in charge at Bollinger Champagne. His expertise shines through in all the wines, but his experience with Pinot Noir at this top Champagne house has certainly enhanced this elegant and seductive red. Silky berry fruit, earthy, leafy notes with the complexity gained from four years' ageing, if you love red Burgundy, try this Spätburgunder (aka Pinot Noir). A fine red to savour with white meat, even tuna.
