You’d never expect RedHeads to stick to the norm when it comes to blends. Why not try ripe, berry scented Pinot Noir with dense blackberry rich Shiraz, all Barossa born? The balance is spot on – a gentle supple, Gold medal red and fruity too.

Some of the best wines are the product of happenstance! RedHeads were delighted in 2017 to receive a parcel of fabulous Pinot Noir from Matt and Deb Poole, champion growers in the Barossa for generations. They knew without doubt that their 2017 Pinot Noir was way too good to disappear into any blend. RedHeads was the happy beneficiary and with it made a cracking red. But what to do with that little bit of Pinot Noir left after bottling, along with a tasty portion of Barossa Shiraz from the ‘Dogs’? Unorthodox though it may be, they blended them and the terrifically tasty Adelais is the result. It was what the Aussies used to do – put together a blend and label it Burgundy. Except this one isn’t called Burgundy and it does contain Pinot Noir!
