This ripe, rich Merlot won Gold last year and we think the 2020 is tasting just as good! This new release is from grand master of the Languedoc, Vincent Gourdon, assisted by son Arthur. Smooth plum and red berries with wild herb and chocolate notes.

Vincent Gourdon is one of the most experienced and best informed winemakers of southern France. A man with formidable knowledge, he always knows where the best grapes are growing and who is growing them. Indeed, he's also trained some of our best loved winemakers – Herve, behind our Cabalié wines for starters – and was one of the first winemakers of our legendary Le XV du Président. With his lifetime of local winemaking know how, no wonder his nickname is Obi Wine Kenobi! Today Vincent is working alongside his most eager apprentice - his son Arthur. Proud of their creation, they've lent this velvety Merlot their names. This fruit-pumped red is a winner with grilled meats, pork casserole or a herby tomato aubergine bake. Very tasty solo too.
